How to recognize stress in cats, dogs, and horses?
When an event disrupts your animal, it may react by behaving aggressively, becoming nervous, jumping at the slightest sound, or sometimes even changing its behavior to the point of being unrecognizable.
Stress reduces immune system health
It is important to know that sometimes stress can bring out your animal's sensitivity (susceptibility). That is, if it has previously had a problem with ringworm, diarrhea, rhinotracheitis, or an infection that has been resolved in the past, these can resurface after a stressful event.
The importance of managing your animal's stress
Pets are creatures of habit. Their routines are very important, and when their habits are changed, it is very difficult for some of them to adapt to novelty. They then develop either problems they had in the past or new symptoms with physical and/or behavioral repercussions. Moving, the arrival of a partner or a baby, among other things, are major stress factors, and not just for humans. Also be aware that animals are very sensitive and feel human stress.
What situations can be stressful for your animal?
- You're going on vacation for a few days, and your cat stays home alone;

- You're moving, and boxes (cardboard boxes in France) are starting to pile up; you're running around (because, obviously, you're behind schedule...).
- You're renovating your house. Between the noise, the comings and goings of the workers, your exasperation because the work isn't progressing fast enough, and the window seems crooked, and your partner manages to stay calm while your cheeks are crimson.
- You welcome a new family member (partner, baby, stepchildren, either permanently or for the holidays).
- You adopt a rescue animal and bring it home. This new environment is a huge stress factor.

TESTIMONIAL - Jeanette Love, Savannah F1, my precious!
This feline breed has a lot of instinct and "sense" and we are a close-knit duo! She regularly hunts mice at the cottage, and one morning in the summer of 2021, she hunted... a snake, which had slipped inside. Seeing blood on the floor and the dead snake in the kitchen, I screamed and was afraid my feline was hurt. No, she was quite proud of her catch. However, after this event, the beautiful Jeanette refused to go to the basement (the "meeting" place with the said snake), where her litter boxes are, and she regularly jumped, especially when she saw a thread.
She seemed traumatized. By my reaction? By the fight with the snake? I didn't want her to stay that way. My super homeopath told me about Labo Solidago and referred me to Hélène. I quickly had a phone call with her. She suggested a treatment with HoliStress and sent me the product and protocol by mail. After a week of treatment, Jeanette returned to her litter boxes, was much less nervous, and no longer jumped at everything and nothing!
The follow-up with Hélène from Labo Solidago was quick, efficient, sensitive to my precious one, personalized, and full of good advice!
Since Jeanette eats a raw diet and has been in contact with feline flu, I now also use: HoliBiote and HoliSep as prevention. Solidago products are magic for our furry loved ones!
