Helps maintain and regulate the health of the lymphatic and glandular systems.
Lymph is a whitish, translucent, or even yellowish fluid, twice as abundant as blood in the body. It circulates along its dedicated network.
Lymph is part of what is more broadly called the lymphatic system. In addition to lymph, it includes:
• Lymphatic vessels (the canals, the tubes in which it circulates).
• Lymph nodes (the small bean-shaped filtration stations that punctuate the lymphatic network and form nodes). They are mainly found in the knee, groin, abdomen, chest, elbows, armpits, and neck.
• Other organs are part of this system: bone marrow, spleen, thymus, and tonsils.
The lymphatic system has several main functions:
First, it drains the excess fluid discharged from the bloodstream that ends up in the tissues. This excess fluid passes into the lymph to be taken care of by the lymphatic system for evacuation.
The lymph will, in the same way, collect all sorts of waste, bacteria, and damaged cells that the lymphatic system (the great scavenger that it is) will have to remove or destroy. The lymph will then be cleared of all these toxins during its passage through the purification stations that are the lymph nodes before returning to the blood.
Lymph also transports certain nutrients and hormones.
Finally, the lymphatic system will defend the body against infections. It plays an essential immune role. Indeed, the lymphatic organs (the thymus and bone marrow) produce white blood cells (lymphocytes) which will be stored in the lymph nodes. The latter will release white blood cells into the lymph during its passage, which will diffuse them throughout the body (assisted in this mission by blood circulation). During an infection, the lymph nodes (thanks to the sentinels that are the lymphocytes they contain) will be alerted to the presence of bacteria or viruses in the lymph during their filtration work. They will then quickly trigger immune defense reactions: lymphocytes will multiply, and the node will swell. This is why lymph nodes swell when we are sick; it is simply the immune system's reaction to an infection.
It is therefore important to maintain our lymphatic system to stimulate immunity, and all this will happen better if lymphatic circulation is fluid thanks to SOLILYMPHE.
